About Lulla

Calm that actually
fits what you feel.

Lulla exists because anxiety is not one thing — and one breathing exercise was never going to be enough.

An anxiety app that listens
to your body first.

Most calming apps hand you a library of techniques and leave you to figure it out. That's the last thing you can do when you're in the middle of it — heart pounding, thoughts spiraling, or feeling completely numb.

Lulla works differently. It starts with one question: what is your body doing right now? Based on your answer, it routes you to the one technique that's actually matched to that physical state — not a generic suggestion, but a clinically grounded response to what's happening in your nervous system.

It takes under 60 seconds. No account. Nothing leaves your phone.

Four things we believe deeply.

The body leads.

Anxiety lives in the body before it becomes a thought. The right intervention starts there — not with mindset, but with physiology.

Privacy is non-negotiable.

What you feel at your most vulnerable shouldn't live on a server. Lulla has none. Your data stays on your device, always.

Evidence, not trends.

Every technique in Lulla has a clinical rationale. We tell you what it is and why it works — because you deserve to understand the tool you're using.

Friction is the enemy.

In a crisis, every extra tap is a barrier. Lulla is designed to get out of the way — no login, no onboarding, straight to help.

Every technique has
a real reason.

These aren't wellness platitudes. They're the interventions that have clinical evidence behind them — and Lulla matches each one to the specific physical state it's designed for.

Heart racing

4-8 Breathing — vagus nerve activation

An exhale twice as long as the inhale directly stimulates the vagus nerve, triggering the parasympathetic response that slows heart rate. Used in clinical settings for acute cardiac anxiety.

Can't breathe

Box Breathing — CO₂ rebalancing

Equal counts in, hold, out, hold interrupts the hyperventilation cycle and restores oxygen-to-CO₂ balance. Adopted by the US Navy SEALs for use in high-stress combat situations.

Mind won't stop

5-4-3-2-1 Grounding — sensory interruption

Directing attention to immediate sensory input activates the prefrontal cortex and interrupts the rumination loop. Standard protocol in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy.

Numb or floating

Somatic Grounding — gentle re-embodiment

Dissociative states require stillness, not stimulation. Slow, deliberate pressure anchors — feet on the floor, hands on lap — re-establish body awareness without triggering further dissociation.

Shaky or restless

Somatic Release — adrenaline discharge

Restlessness is unspent adrenaline. Short, intentional movements allow the stress hormone cycle to complete, preventing the re-activation loop that keeps anxiety elevated.

Overwhelmed

Co-Regulation — zero-interaction calming

When emotionally flooded, executive function is offline — choosing is too much. This path auto-advances with no required input, providing a regulated rhythm to synchronise with.

No servers. No cloud.
No catch.

Mental health data is the most sensitive data there is. We designed Lulla from the ground up to never need a server — because the safest place for your data is your own device.

What we collect: nothing.

All check-ins, SOS sessions, patterns, and biometrics stay on your iPhone. Lulla has no backend, no database, no analytics tracking your usage. It works completely offline.

  • No account or email required
  • No data sold, shared, or tracked — ever
  • Works fully offline, every feature
  • Apple Health data read locally, never transmitted
